Pro-Max Paint specializes in exterior warranty re-paints. We work together with many different paint manufacturers to provide you with the longest possible warranty available in the industry. The warranties vary from 5 to 8 years depending on the paint manufacturers and they cover labor and materials on a non pro-rated basis.

Pro-Max can help you the building owner/manager by getting a detailed set of specifications. These are tailored to meet your specific needs and are done in conjunction with the paint manufacturer of your choice. This service is always offered at no charge and highly recommended for the best possible result for your painting project.

The following list highlights some of the most important steps towards insuring a high-quality and long-lasting paint job:

Waterproofing - Stop all leaks.

Pressure cleaning - Water blasting using a minimum water pressure of 3000 psi is used to remove all chalk and any other contaminants.

Mildew removal - A mild chlorine solution is used to kill mildew down to the spore. This step is essential. Pressure cleaning alone does not kill mildew. Even though you can't see it the mildew is still there. The chlorine bleach is the only thing that will kill it completely.

Priming - A primer/sealer is used to bind any remaining chalk or any other contaminants to the substrate to create a sound surface for the finish coat of paint to adhere to. Primer may also be used as a first coat of color to reduce the amount of finish coats needed for the proper coverage.

Patching - Patching consists of sealing hairline cracks using an elastomeric patching compound. These patches are made to overlap at least 2" on each side of the crack. Large loose cracks are ground out using angle grinders and filled using an acrylic urethane sealant and then patched with an elastomeric patching compound.

Caulking - First, loose or deteriorated caulking around window and doorframes is removed and the joint is cleaned with a solvent. If necessary, backer rod or release tape is installed. Finally, a new bead of a top quality acrylic sealant is applied.

A factory representative from the paint manufacturer will be involved in each phase of the work, signing off on each step as each step is completed. These inspections are subsequently submitted to the building’s owner or property manager.

A successful paint job depends on the preparation. Proper surface preparation will help give your paint job the longest possible life. Let the professionals at Pro-Max paint your building/s right the first time. Don’t take chances with fly-by-night painting operations that may cut corners to save themselves money. It could mean the difference between re-painting every couple of years or re-painting every 5 to 8 years, or longer.
