CONCRETE REPAIR TYPES
 

A concrete repair project is usually bid based on a set of estimated quantities of each type of repair provided by the structural engineer on the project.  These repairs are broken up into various groups.  Upon execution of the project the engineer usually serves as the advocate for the building owner verifying the types and exact quantities for each type of repair.  Here are a few common examples for your understanding:

   

Deck Repair:

This repair is in the floor of an area needing repair typically a breezeway, balcony, or garage floor.  It is typically measured in square feet up to 3” deep.
   
Overhead Repair:
This repair is typically in the ceiling of an area needing repair typically a balcony ceiling, garage ceiling, or breezeway ceiling.  It is typically measured in square feet up to 3” deep.
   
Thru Slab Repair:
Also known as a full depth repair. It can be in either the ceiling or floor surface and is a repair that goes thru the entire slab.  This repair is typically measure in cubic feet.
   

Vertical Repair:

This repair is in the wall of an area to be repaired and is usually measured in square feet up to 3” deep.
